US President Joe Biden stated on Friday that during a telephone conversation made it clear to the Russian president Vladimir Putin that Russia could not invade the territory of Ukraine, writes Reuters.
The head of the White House also stressed that Russia’s invasion of Ukraine will lead to the introduction of sanctions against Moscow and an increase in US military presence in Europe.
Biden’s telephone calls and Putin took place on Friday night. The conversation lasted 50 minutes.
