Former German Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder talked for a few hours with Russian President Vladimir Putin at a personal meeting, said the Bild newspaper.
The publication does not lead the details of the conversation, it is known only that they communicated about Ukraine.
In addition, ex-chancellor held talks with one of Vladimir Putin’s advisers.
According to BILD, on Monday, he also met with a group of Ukrainians who are associated with a delegation at negotiations with Russia. The newspaper claims that Schroeder is the only person who had direct contact with Putin and with high-ranking Ukrainian officials.
