Bishkek discussed prospects and measures to deepen cooperation between SCO members

In Bishkek on Thursday, the prospects and measures to deepen cooperation between the SCO member states in the trade, economic and cultural and humanitarian spheres in the new conditions were discussed.

This was said by the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Zhaparov following a meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the Member States of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.

Following the meeting of the SGP SCOS signed and adopted 14 documents.

The most important final document was the joint commander of the Council of the Government of the SCO Member Government, which reflects the coordinated positions of the parties on topical issues of the agenda, as well as on the further development of multifaceted cooperation within the SCO.

Zhaparov noted that the participants approved the SCO Secretariat’s report on events and meetings held as part of the program of multilateral trade and economic cooperation of the SCO member states and heard reports on the activities of the interbank association and the Business Council of the SCO.

In order to further strengthen the interaction of railway administrations and international railway transport in the SCO member states, as well as in the field of e-commerce and trade, relevant documents were approved, he noted.

According to the Prime Minister, a number of decisions on the activities and financial issues of the permanent authorities of the SCO

have been adopted.

“It should be noted that we managed to carry out a constructive dialogue for the entire spectrum of issues of world and regional development, including the relevant aspects of the development of trade, economic and cultural and humanitarian cooperation,” Zhaparov said.

He noted that the participants in the meeting of the Council of the Government of the SCO emphasized the importance of further development of cooperation in the field of culture, education, science and technology, environmental protection, healthcare, sports, tourism and youth policy, which is the basis for preserving and strengthening friendship and good -neighborly relations between SCO member states.

“I am sure that today’s meeting of the Council of the Government of the SCO in the city of Bishkek has become an important stage in the practical implementation of the priority tasks facing our organization and ensuring further progressive development of the SCO,” the head of government concluded.
