Borrel: EU countries will increase military costs by € 70 billion

EU countries in the next three years will increase defense costs by 70 billion euros, said the head of the EU foreign policy service Josep Borrel.

“EU countries in the next three years will spend an additional 70 thousand million euros to increase their capabilities,” he said.

Borrel also called on all the countries of the European Union to send to Ukraine “everything they have, ammunition.”

“They compensate for them later,” said Borrel.

Borrel said that they had already sent weapons to Ukraine for 16 billion euros and prepared 17 thousand military.

He stated that the EU will demand from all countries of the world to “take a clear position on the conflict in Ukraine.”
