There are forces that do not want to achieve peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia, said Report Professor Naval Postgraduate School (USA) Brand Schaffer.
According to her, Zangilan plays a strategic role, geographically at the intersection of transport routes and communications between Azerbaijan, Russia, Iran, Turkey and Armenia.
“countries such as Azerbaijan and Turkey understand its importance and try to develop transport infrastructure here, create corridors, helping to unlock ties in the region. On the other hand, there are forces that want to prevent this process, developing conditions for trade and use existing strategic capabilities. Thus, there are external forces that are trying to interfere with the world between Armenia and Azerbaijan, ”said Shafffer.
According to B. Schaffer, the most important principle of establishing peace between the two countries is the mutual recognition of the territorial integrity of each other.
