Brewery giant leaves Russia

The largest international brewing company Heineken leaves the Russian market, the company says.

Heineken company reported on March 9, he reported that he would stop the release of beer under his brand, but then he talked about plans to continue work in Russia.

“After the previously announced strategic review of our activity, we came to the conclusion that HEINEKEN’s own business in Russia is no longer safer in the current environment. In this regard, we decided to leave Russia,” the company’s press release reported.

In the Russian Heineken market, in addition to the beer brand of the same name, owns the brands of Amstelweiss, Edelweiss, Guinness, Gösser, “Bochkarev”, “Hunting”.

It is noted that its Russian business Heineken intends to transfer to the new owner, until this point all seven brewers of the company will continue to work.
