British opposition is trying to accelerate Johnson’s departure

The opposition Labor Party is being prepared next week to vote on the issue of trust Prime Minister Britain Boris Johnson to speed up his departure from the post of head of government, writes The Times.

As experts emphasize, due to a sharp decrease in the popularity of the prime minister, even among his associates, the opposition’s proposal may be crowned by the fact that Johnson will not be able to stay on Downing Street during the transition period.

On Thursday, Johnson announced a resignation from the post of leader of the ruling conservative party. He also said that he would cease to be the prime minister as soon as the new head of the conservatives was elected. The timing of the procedure for choosing a new party leader will be approved next week. Earlier, about 60 people left the government for ethical reasons, including several ministers.
