Bypassing Russia: Another logistics company has chosen Azerbaijan

The Russian war against Ukraine led to the fact that international logistics companies sending goods from China to Europe are increasingly paying attention to the transport corridor through Azerbaijan. For example, the Finnish company Nurminen Logistics, which stopped working in Russia, announced the launch of the first container route from China to Europe bypassing Russia.

As reported on March 17, the company closed its office in Russia.

today, May 10, 2022, the first full -size container train of Nurminen Logistics has already set off through the new Southern Transkaspian route, the report said. “The route begins in Chinese Chunzin and passes through Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Georgia and Romania to Central Europe “.

Recall that in mid -April, another container train went from China to Europe. The cargo was sent from Sian (China) to Mannheim (Germany) through Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Romania, Hungary, Slovakia and the Czech Republic.

The Sian company of international logistics “Zhuyan” noted that from now on the efficiency of transportation will increase, and expenses will be reduced.

“This route provides our companies with the opportunity to establish a full -fledged export in this situation,” added JJ Min.

Note that transit railway transportation bypassing Russia is activated against the background of logistics problems and sanctions due to the “special operation” of the Russian Federation in Ukraine.

In these geopolitical conditions, China creates new routes to Europe, bypassing Russian territory. So, according to the transport corridor of Europe-Caucasus, through the Black and Caspian Seas, 3,000 containers were transported in January-February, which is about a third more than a year ago.
