Caring for war veterans and families of Schehids: Report of Ministry of Labor

During the period after the 44-day Patriotic War, in which the Azerbaijani army led by the President, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ilham Aliyev won, large-scale measures are being taken in the field of social support for families of the Shahids and participants in the war.

The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population reported that over the past period, about eight thousand members of the families of the Shahids of the Patriotic War were assigned up to 16 thousand social payments (presidential pension, benefits or pensions), 3 151 participants in the war were identified and associated with it was assigned to it Social payments.

This year, the process of appointing a monthly presidential pension ended with 81,856 citizens who were awarded the title of war veteran. In general, 93 thousand people are appointed 104 thousand social payments. The amount of social payments to the families of the Shahids, the disabled war in 2021-2022 increased by an average of 60 percent. From January 1, 2021, a presidential pension was established for Heroes of the Patriotic War, and from January 1, 2022 – a presidential pension for veterans of this war.

One of the important measures of social support is the provision of apartments and private houses to the families of the Schehids and the disabled war. In 2021, this program was expanded five times. Last year, 3,000 were provided to the families of the Schehids and the war disabled people, and 587 from the beginning of 2022, and in the post -war period – 3,587 apartments. Over the past period, more than 12.5 thousand families of the Shahids and Disabled War are provided with apartments or private houses.

As part of the support measures, work was also continued to ensure warrior warrior by cars. In the post -war period, 264 warriors were provided with cars. To date, 7,450 people from citizens of this category are provided with cars.

In the post -war period, more than 13 thousand people, including members of the Samhids, participants in the war and persons injured from Armenian terror, were involved in active employment programs, including 7.8 thousand people – to self -employment programs. According to the vacancies provided by 649 employers, 2,423 members of the Slahids and war veteran were provided with work.

Also, more than nine thousand people were provided up to 28.5 thousand services in the field of rehabilitation and socio-psychological support, 1,456 war disabled people were provided with 20,766 rehabilitation funds.
