A preliminary investigation of the criminal case Aydin Zakiev, Emil Mamedov and Haji Pashayev, accused of state treason, was completed.
According to haqqin.az, the materials of criminal cases that will be considered separately are sent to the Baku court for serious crimes.
Note that the defendants were arrested by the state security service. During the investigation, it was found that Zakiev agreed to secret cooperation with representatives of the special services of Armenia, by completing tasks transmitted through persons located in the territory of the third state, transferred the received information about specific cases of the personnel of the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan, organized the spread of false information In the form of in advance and purposefully prepared special texts aimed at creating a conflict on ethnic grounds in the country, thereby providing assistance to the Armenian intelligence services. Aydin Zakiev was held accountable under Article 274 (State Treasury) of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan.
