Center “Dossier”: goals of Russia in relation to Belarus are same as in relation to Ukraine

A group of journalists gained access to the internal document of the Russian authorities entitled “Strategic goals of the Russian Federation in the Belarusian direction”, according to which the Kremlin plans to take full control of the policy, economics and military potential of Belarus by 2030, the Center “Dossie”.

The development of the plan, according to the Center, was conducted in 2021. The document has only 17 pages, which outlined the political, defense, trade and social goals of the Russian authorities in Belarus. They are divided into short -term (until 2022), medium -term (until 2025) and long -range (2030).

So, according to information, by 2030 the Russian authorities hoped to adapt the legislation of Belarus to the Russian, take control of the foreign policy of the republic and manage it in the interests of the Russian Federation, increase the military presence in the country, subjugate the information space of the republic, increasing the number of Russian media , to achieve the supremacy of the Russian language over the Belarusian, as well as introduce a simplified procedure for issuing Russian passports to citizens of Belarus “In order to create a layer of Russians interested in integration”.

In addition, the Dossier Center reports, the Russian authorities expected to spread their influence through science and the formation of Belarus. For this, it was planned to open the exam points in the country in the country, as well as create several centers of science and culture in Mogilev, Grodno and Vitebsk.

The Russian authorities gathered to implement their plans, including through an agreement on the Union State, signed by the leadership of Russia and Belarus back in 1999. Negotiations on it dragged on for two decades. In 2019, it was announced that the countries managed to coordinate 28 union programs regarding economic issues like harmonizing monetary policy and tax legislation.
