At the opening of the center, named Professor Erola Curkchuoglu, the head of the municipality of Erzurum Mehmet Sector, the head of the municipality.

He recalled that the famous historian Kurkchuoglu devoted more than 20 years of his life to the topic of Turkish-Armenian ties.

Along with the center in Erzurum, the library named after Professor Erola Curkchuoglu will also be valid, whose fund contains thousands of documents and publications on the topic of Armenian-Turkish relations. “According to archival documents, Armenian gangs killed more than 50 thousand civilians in Erzurum. Moreover, people were subjected to such cruel torture that was not even during the Inquisition. They killed defenseless old people, women and children,” the sector recalled.

According to him, the atrocities of the Armenian gangs were recorded either only in Erzurum, but also in other parts of East Anatolia.

The head of the municipality expressed the hope that the new center will contribute to the exposure of lies about the pseudo-genocide of Armenians.
