The total surplus of Azerbaijan’s payment balance in the first quarter of this year amounted to 1,572.4 million US dollars.
This is 4.8 times more than in the same period last year, reports the Central Bank of Azerbaijan.
The total surplus was formed due to the balance of the balance of current operations in the amount of 3,952.7 million dollars (6.3 times more than the same period last year), the capital account of $ 0.3 million (surplus in previous year), a deficit of $ 1 195.6 million in a financial account (surplus in the previous year), a deficit for a balancing article in the amount of $ 1,184.4 million (3.7 times more).
