China “closes” Everest due to concerns of proliferation of Covid-19

China’s authorities decided to withdraw previously issued permits to climb Everest from Tibet (from the Chinese side), writes the Russian Air Force Service.

The reason for the revocation of permissions was concerned that those who rose from the Nepalese side could be carriers of coronavirus. Previously, it was about the installation of a certain dividing line on the top of the highest point of the planet to separate those who rises from Tibet, from the rods from the side of Nepal, who is now a surge of the number of infection with coronavirus.

Over the past weekend, more than 30 people were evacuated from the base camp of Everest.
