China forbade imports from Taiwan

China authorities banned the import of various products from Taiwan, writes Bloomberg.

Peking published a message about the ban on the evening of August 1, after the news on the visit of the speaker of the House of US representatives Nancy Pelosi on Taiwan.

About 3,000 goods fell under the ban on imports, among them: seafood, vegetables, honey, tea and other agricultural products. More than 180 food companies and about 700 fishing vessels will suffer from this.

This will cause serious damage to the agricultural and fish sector on the island.
