China has launched new satellite for monitoring atmosphere and space environment

China launched a new Yunhai-3 02 satellite from the Tayyuan Cosmodrome in Shanxi Province.

According to Sinhua agency, a modified version of the Long March-6 launch vehicle with the Yunhai-3 02 satellite started at 6:51 in the morning of Beijing.

The satellite was successfully brought to a given orbit and will be used to research the atmosphere and the marine environment, monitor the space environment, scientific experiments, prevent natural disasters and reduce their consequences.

For Changzhen series launch vehicles (“Great Hike”), this launch became the 514th in a row.
