China launched satellite for environmental monitoring

China on Wednesday with the help of a Changzhen-2V launch vehicle (the Great Campaign-2V or CZ 2C) launched a satellite for monitoring the environment and preventing emergency situations, reports Sinhua.

The launch vehicle launched at 06:53 PM Tyiyan Cosmodrome in the province of Shanxi in northern China. The spacecraft was brought to the planned orbit.

This is the 482nd flight for the Changzhen series launch vehicles.
