China launches new route to Europe through Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan

China launched a new railway route to Germany bypassing Russia with an end point in the German city of Mannheim.

“Rosbalt” with reference to Shina.org writes, trains will follow Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Romania, Hungary, Slovakia and the Czech Republic, and the Caspian and Black Sea will cross with the help of combined rail and maritime transportation. On April 13, the first train with the cargo of sports goods went from Xi’an on this route.

The new route covers countries and regions for which the train from China to Europe rarely passed.
