Congress on history of Turkic statehood started in Kyrgyzstan

In the city of Cholpon-Ata of the Issyk-Kul region of Kyrgyzstan, the 1st Congress on the history of Turkic statehood began.

The event, in which scientists from different countries of the Turkic world take part, are dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the proclamation of the Turkish Republic.

Congress is organized by the International Turkic Academy at OTG and Turkish Historical Society under the Higher Council on Culture, Language and History named after Ataturk with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic.

At the opening of the Congress, the president of the International Turkic Academy Shakhin Mustafaev spoke. He noted that the purpose of the forum is to activate and deepen research on the history of the Turkic states, as well as encouraging scientific cooperation in this field.

Advisor to the President of Kyrgyzstan, Arslan Koychiev, read out the message of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Zhaparov to the participants of the congress.

The circulation emphasizes the special significance of the Congress on Issyk-Kul.

“Issyk-Kul is one of the sacred places where the Turks formed the idea of ​​statehood,” the head of state noted.

Congress will end on September 16th. According to its results, the final declaration will be adopted.
