Coronavirus neighbors: Armenia introduces mandatory mask mode

Due to the sharp deterioration of the situation with Coronavirus, the Armenian Ministry of Health decided to re-enter the mandatory mask mode in the open space, reports TASS with reference to the press service of the ministry.

It is reported that the mandatory mask mode does not apply to children under the age of five. Also, according to the Decree, during the protocol measures with the participation of the President, Catholicos, the Prime Minister, the Parliament Speaker, the head of the Constitutional Court and the Chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council, mask mode is optional. “The exception does not apply to the service personnel and journalists.”

The situation with the distribution of COVID-19 in Armenia is extremely tense, due to a sharp increase in the number of infected, in hospitals there are practically no free places, hundreds of patients are waiting for hospitalization. Over the past day, 2,096 cases of infection were registered in the country, 43 people died.

Also, a difficult situation is also observed in Georgia, there according to the operational headquarters, 4610 cases of infection and 42 lethal exodus are recorded over the past day, it was possible to cure 2,624 patients.
