The Czech government on Wednesday decided to purchase 24 supersonic fighters F-35 in the United States.
This was announced at a press conference by Prime Minister Peter Fial.
“The government today has decided to purchase 24 F-35 supersonic aircraft. The first aircraft will be ready in 2029, our pilots will start training in the United States. In 2031, the first fighters will enter the Czech Republic, and we will have all 24 aircraft in 2035. In this case, we act on the basis of the recommendation of the army. The government considers one of its main obligations to ensure the security of our citizens and our country as a whole. And it is best to do this by modernizing our army and providing it with what it really needs “, – said the prime minister.
