“Day of Silence” came in Armenia

“Day of silence”, during which parties and blocks are forbidden to carry out campaigning, it came on Saturday to Armenia on the eve of extraordinary parliamentary elections. The ban entered into force on the midnight in Armenian time, reports TASS.

According to the legislation of Armenia, on this day, leaders and representatives of election entities cannot be held meetings with supporters, publish campaign materials in the media and social networks, as well as perform on television and radio.

To pass to the Armenian parliament, parties need to overcome a five percent barrier, and the blocks are sevenpromal. There are no threshold in elections – with any voter activity they will be considered consistent.
