Death of Ukrainian military in Elena: ISW questioned version of Russia

Experts of the American Institute for Studying War (ISW), analyzing the video from the scene of the explosion in the Elena colony, where dozens of Ukrainian prisoners of war died, thought that it could not be the consequences of the Himars missile system. This is stated in the organization’s report published on the night of July 30.

The Russian BBC service writes that as a result of the “kinetic event” [the term may include almost any military operations] July 28, dozens of Ukrainian prisoners of war died in the Russian office of the Donetsk region. Ukraine and Russia blame each other in the attack. Available visual certificates confirm the version of Kyiv rather, but ISW cannot yet independently evaluate the nature of the attack and the responsible side.

The report notes that the Russian media published a video from the insulator on which the damage is visible, but these are not the damage that could cause the Himars.
