Deputies in Georgia began a hunger strike in support of Saakashvili

Nine opposition deputies of the Georgian Parliament began a hunger strike with the requirement of urgent translation of the former president of Georgia Mikhail Saakashvili into a multidisciplinary civilian clinic, said one of the parliamentarians David Kirchitadze at a briefing, RIA Novosti reports.

“We, nine members of parliament, decided to start a hunger strike with the requirement of the translation of Mikhail Saakashvili into a multidisciplinary clinic to obtain adequate services for the Ministry of Health, necessary to protect his health and life,” he said.

Earlier the hunger strike announced another deputy Elena Hoshtaria.

Recall that Mikhail Saakashvili secretly arrived in Georgia on September 29. On October 1, he was detained in Tbilisi and on the same day declared a hunger strike.
