Did leader of Iran support attack on Rushdi?

The spiritual leader and head of Iran Ali Khamenei supported the attack on the British writer Salman Rushdi. It is reported by The Guardian.

According to the publication, the Iranian newspaper Kayhan, which is considered the media, broadcasting the position of Hameni, praised the attacker at Rushdi, saying that “his hands should be crumbling with kisses.” The material came out under the heading “The devil’s neck under the sword.”

The British newspaper writes that the anti -Western views of the Iranian leader are based on dubious religious beliefs. Iran expert Karim Sajadpur urged the United States suspicion of Tiegran’s actions.
