The American military base of ET-Tanf in Syria was attacked by drones, the Central Military Command of the US Armed Forces reported.
As follows from the press release widespread, the base was attacked by three drones, two of them were shot down, one struck.
As a result of the attack, none of the American troops were injured, two Syrians from the Syrian Free Army – US partners in Syria.
were killed.
The representative of Centcom Joe Buchchino called the attacks of this kind “unacceptable.”
“They risk our troops and our partners, and threaten the fight against ISIS,” the Buchchino statement said.
The ET-Tanf base is located in Syria near the borders with Iraq and Jordan. American troops say that it is used to conduct counter -terrorist operations against ISIS and the preparation of fighters of the Syrian opposition.
