at least 11 people died as a result of the collapse of the ceiling in the school sports hall in China, reports Sinhua.
The incident occurred on Sunday in the afternoon in the city of Tsitsikar Haylunjiang province.
According to the fire department and the rescue service, 19 people were at the time of the incident in the gym, four of them managed to get out themselves, and 15 were under the rubble.
The preliminary investigation found that the builders illegally laid perlite on the roof of the school during construction, which was saturated with water and swims under the influence of precipitation, as a result of which the roof collapsed.
The police detained the responsible persons of the company that was engaged in repair.
