Egypt: found a gigantic lost city

Egyptian researchers under the leadership of Dr. Zahi Havassas (Dr. Zahi Hawass) found a giant losing city, which was named with an elevation of ATON (The Rise Of Aten). The age of ruins is estimated at three and a half thousand years and dates back to the rule of pharaoh amenhotep III. It is reported by the SADA El-Balad TV channel.

Athon’s rise is currently the largest famous ancient Egyptian city. He was founded by Pharaoh Amenhotep III, the ninth king of the 18th dynasty, ruled by Egypt from 1391 to 1353 BC. This city also ruled his son Amenhotep IV, also known as Ehnaton. The city is located on the West Bank of the Nile in the Luxor area and extends to the West, right up to the deir-ale necropolis.

According to the Egyptologists, the discovery of the lost city is the second most important archaeological discovery after the tomb of Tutankhamon. Researchers hope that excavations will help solve one of the greatest mysteries of history: why Ehnaton and Nefertiti decide to move to Amarn, which became the capital of ancient Egypt two years after its foundation
