Emil Mammadov, who collaborated with special services of Armenia, will appear before court

The accused of espionage, cooperation with the special services of Armenia, 41-year-old Emil Mamedov will appear before the court in the coming days.

As Haqqin.az became known, the criminal case is in the proceedings of the judge of the Baku court on serious crimes Siyavusha Gadzhiev. The preparatory court session is scheduled for December 27.

Recall, Emil Mammadov was detained in March of the State Security of Azerbaijan in March. In the course of investigations, it was found that in exchange for material interest, Mamedov met with employees of the special services of Armenia in a third country in order to assist them in fulfilling instructions of representatives of foreign intelligence services. Moving to the side of the enemy to the detriment of the sovereignty, territorial inviolability, state security and defense capabilities of Azerbaijan, he received instructions on the collection of information that could be used to the detriment of the state security of Azerbaijan. Reasonable suspicions of secret relations with representatives of the special services of Armenia and their compliance with the prescribed conspiracy rules were revealed. Mamedov was held accountable under article 274 (treason) of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan and arrested by a court decision.
