Foreign Minister Saudi Arabia Faisal Ben Forkhan Al Saud refuted the previously widespread information about holding consultations in Jordan between Saudi and Iranian security specialists.
“In Jordan there was no meeting. There was a scientific forum, in which representatives of several countries took part. … Yes, there really is a direct dialogue between us and there are already four meetings,” Saudi diplomat said, his words reported TASS.
On Monday, the Jordanian State Agency Petra reported that in Amman, a dialogue between representatives of Iran and Saudi Arabia was held regarding the interaction on regional security issues. Reuters with reference to a high-ranking representative of the Iranian leadership said that the meeting was unofficial and only experts were present on it.
