Turkey launched the fight against violence against women in the priority direction of its policy. This was stated by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, speaking at the program at the University of Khalich, dedicated to the International Struggle for the Elimination of Violence against Women.

At the same time, the Turkish leader noted that all attacks on the institution of the family in the country have nothing to do with the protection of women’s rights.
President Erdogan also expressed confidence that the Coordinating Council for Combating Violence against Women, created in Turkey, will carry out activities worthy of centuries of the republic.
“We provide state protection for abuse of women through women’s shelters, centers of counteraction and monitoring of violence and social services operating in the 81 Turkish province,” said the president.
In addition, the head of the Turkish state noted the importance of solidarity in the fight against the violence of all layers of society.
“We will all build Turkey without violence together, counteracting it in solidarity with men, women, youth and elderly people. A century of Turkey will become a century of women,” the president made.
