Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan distributed an appeal on the occasion of the day of sovereignty and children (23 Nisan Ulusal Egement Ve çocuk Bayramı), celebrated in the country on April 23.
“Children are the key to our future. I hope that every day our children will be filled with festive joy,” the message says.
The head of state also honored the memory of the founder of the Turkish Republic of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk and everyone who has contributed to the formation and development of the country.
“I am offering prayers for the mercy of the Almighty for each of our heroic martyrs, not thinking of those who sacrificed their lives in the name of independence and the future of our country,” said the Turkish leader.
