Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan condemned the attack during the election campaign of a candidate from the ruling party of justice and development (PSR) Aziz Yeniai,
The politician is running for the post of head of the municipality of the Kushukchmmede district in Istanbul.
The incident took place on Saturday, February 10.
“A thorough investigation continues. One person is detained, the rest will be detained,” said the Turkish leader, speaking at a rally in the Province of Tekirdag.
