Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan congratulated the national football team on access to the final part of the European Championship.
Turkish football players tied with a score of 1: 1 in an exit match against rivals from Wales. Thus, the Turkish team, gaining 17 points, secured a passage to the Che-2024 from the first place of the qualifying group D.
At the end of the match, the head of the Turkish state called the locker room and congratulated the head coach Vincenzo Montella and football players on a successful performance at the qualifying stage of Euro-2024.
“We won the opportunity to go to the championship in Germany as the leader of the qualifying group. In Germany, our team will play as in their field. Also, as played in a friendly match against the German team with the support of fans from among our compatriots,” said Turkish leader.
European Football Championship 2024 will be held from June 14 to July 14 in Germany.
