Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan explained why the presidential and parliamentary elections will be held on May 14.
In his appeal to the people after a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, Erdogan said that the elections in Turkey are usually held on June 18, but this year this date coincides with the Hurban holiday, so the most suitable date is May 14.
