Erdogan: Turkey does not plan to withdraw troops from Syria while maintaining threat of terrorism

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan commented on the requirement of the leader of the Syrian regime Bashar al -Assad on the withdrawal of the Turkish Armed Forces from Syrian territory.

“Ankara does not have such plans, because the threat of terrorism [from Syrian territory] persists,” said the Turkish leader.

At the same time, he condemned the statement of a number of opposition politicians in Turkey about the expulsion of Syrian refugees to his homeland. “It is impossible to support this,” the Turkish leader emphasized.

Erdogan said that construction projects were prepared in Syria for about a million Syrian refugees. “We will ensure [voluntary] to the return of refugees to their homeland,” the President of Turkey promised.
