Erdogan: West is trying to influence elections in Turkey

Western countries are trying to influence the presidential and parliamentary elections in Turkey, which should be held on May 14, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Sunday, February 5, during communication with youth in Aydin. The words of the Turkish president are given by TRT.

“World powers from Europe to America make active efforts to influence the elections on May 14. A vile campaign is being held against me for this purpose. And incidents with the burning of the Qur’an are all about the same,” said the Turkish leader.

Erdogan noted that “Western media write a lot of how important the elections are important for all world politics”, therefore, “active efforts to exert the influence on voting and public opinion, for which they are closely monitoring in Turkey.”
