The United States has not yet responded to the proposal of the European Union aimed at maintaining a nuclear transaction with Iran 2015. The head of the foreign policy of the European Union Josep Borrel said he was hoping for Washington’s positive response, writes Reuters.
According to a senior diplomat, Iran gave a “reasonable” answer to the proposal that was written after 16 months of intermittent, indirect American-Iranian negotiations with the EU.
“from me as a coordinator of negotiations, a proposal was received, which stated:” This is the balance we have achieved, I do not think that we can improve it from one or another side “… and there was an Iran’s answer, which I considered reasonably” ” , – said Josep Borrel at a university event in the Spanish city of Santander.
He added that the proposal was transferred to the United States. Washington has not yet answered him. All details of the new conditions of the nuclear transaction were not disclosed.
