The European Commission recommends providing the status of candidate countries to join the European Union Moldova and Ukraine, and regarding Georgia there are doubts, writes Politico with reference to officials familiar with the course of discussions that took place the day before.
“members of the commission (…) are less confident in Georgia, which in recent years has been suffering from widespread political riots and a noticeable democratic failure,” sources said.
