European Commission will transfer Russian assets to Kyiv

The European Commission considers it fair to transfer frozen Russian assets and assets of Russian oligarchs for the need to restore Ukraine and prepares a legal framework for this, said the head of the EU commission Ursula von der Lyaine in the European Parliament.

According to von der Lyain, the EU intends to hold a conference with the countries of the G7 to prepare the Restoration of Ukraine.

At the moment, the European Commission has frozen assets in the amount of about 33 billion euros owned by Russian businessmen and the Central Bank of the Russian Federation.
