The question of the state in the conclusion of the ex-president of Georgia Mikhail Saakashvili was included on the agenda of today’s meeting of the European Parliament. Sudya interrupted the broadcast when Saakashvili raised the T -shirt to show what condition he was in, but the video still got a few seconds and the frames were widely dispersed in the media.
The European Parliament deputy Miriam Lexman said that the European People’s Party has been advocated for the urgent debate. “Saakashvili should be allowed to receive immediate medical assistance abroad. The Georgian government is fully responsible for his health,” Lexman wrote.
European Parliamentarian Rasa Yuknyavichene called on the authorities of Georgia to transfer the former president into intensive care, noting that there was no time for political discussions:
“The state of President Saakashvili has reached a critical mark and worsens every minute. I urge Georgian authorities to give permission so that it is immediately transferred to the intensive care unit to receive the necessary treatment. There is no more time for political discussions,” Yuknyavichna said.
