European Union: sanctions against Russia prevented it from producing oil and making Iskanders

The head of the EU foreign policy service, Josep Borrel, believes that the sanctions that impose on Russia because of the war in Ukraine affect the country’s military-industrial complex, and also interfere with oil. The diplomat also pointed out the problems that Russia experiences in the field of the automobile market and aviation.

“If we talk about the military sphere that is crucial, then because of the sanctions of the possibility (Russia.- Ed.), To produce high-precision missiles as Iskander and X-101,” said Borrel to the Japanese newspaper Yomiuri.

He stated that in the field of oil production not only foreign companies are leaving, and a difficult situation is also observed using such advanced technologies as horizontal drilling. The diplomat is convinced that the capabilities of Russian companies for commissioning new deposits are limited.
