The former Chief Economic Counselor of Russian President Vladimir Putin Andrei Illarionov in an interview with BBC said that only the real embargo on Russian energy carriers on the part of Western countries could stop the war in Ukraine.
“If Western countries try to introduce a real embargo on oil and gas exports from Russia … I would argue that within a month-two Russian military actions in Ukraine are likely to be discontinued. This is one of the very effective tools that still have Western countries, “said Illarionov.
