Ex-heads of State Department and Pentagon said that Russia would not give territory of Ukraine

Russia will not return the occupied Ukrainian territories. This opinion was expressed by the former Secretary of State of Condelas Rice and the ex-head of the Pentagon Robert Gates in a joint article published in The Washington Post.

The publication was released under the heading “Time is not on the side of Ukraine.” According to them, President Vladimir Putin will not allow Russia to defeat in the war with Ukraine.

The authors of the article believe that in the future, the Russian leader intends to use the occupied territories of Ukraine as a bridgehead for the offensive to the West. The ex-user-secretary of the United States and the former head of the Pentagon consider it necessary to continue assistance to Ukraine by supplying weapons, including mobile armored vehicles.

In the current circumstances, any ceasefire agreement will leave a strong position to the Russian forces to resume the invasion, when they are ready, the authors of the article write.
