Ex-President of Moldova Dodon threatens up to 20 years in prison

The detained ex-president of Moldova Igor Dodon, who is suspected of corruption and treason, may threaten up to 20 years in prison. This was stated in a comment by RIA Novosti Lawyer, former parliament deputy Valery Nagachevsky.

“If we take into account that Dodon is suspected of violating the four articles of the Criminal Code of Moldova, then it is necessary to determine which one provides for the most strict punishment – this is a betrayal to the Motherland. If an investigation is conducted, he will be charged under this article, the case will be referred to the court And the court will agree with the arguments of the prosecutor, then Dodon faces a punishment of imprisonment for a term of 12 to 20 years, ”said Nagachevsky.

According to Moldovan media, the anti -corruption prosecutor’s office of the republic asks the court to arrest Dodon and his son -in -law for 30 days.
