“In 2022, economic growth was recorded in Armenia. At the same time, the poverty level in the country will almost double by the end of the year, reaching 48%.” This was announced at the press conference of the Eurasian Expert Club in Yerevan by the political analyst Aram Safaryan.
“Despite such rainbow figures about the growth of the economy and a slight decrease in extreme poverty indicators, the total poverty level in the republic will grow from 27% to 48%. This causes serious concern. We are calling for the authorities of Armenia, to its political field , public organizations, in particular, to the scientific community, so that they strain all their forces, unite them, and with the help of an intellectual search can soften such adverse indicators and their possible negative consequences, ”Safaryan said.
