Honey exports from Turkey in January-April reached 11 million 477 thousand 245 dollars in monetary terms. This was announced by the “Anadolu” by the head of the Association of Exporters of the East Black Sea region of Turkey Suffet Kalungu.
In the first 4 months of the year, Turkey put 3 007 tons of honey on the markets of 40 countries of the world.
The TOP-3 of the leading importers of honey from Turkey included the USA, Germany and Spain.
The export of honey in the United States amounted to 3 million 963 thousand $ 636, in Germany – 3 million 126 thousand 576 dollars and Spain – 608 thousand 580 dollars.
According to Kalienju, Turkey managed to enter new markets in the supply of honey from the beginning of the year.
He noted that Turkey is among the rare countries in the world in terms of the variety of plants and endemic plants.
