Famous Arch Darwin collapsed on Galapaghos

Popular Daverls of the Arch Darwin on the Galapagos Islands collapsed, reports BBC with reference to the Ecuador Ministry of the Environment.

The department explained the collapse of natural erosion. The arch was located approximately 1 km from the desert island of Kulpepper, which is part of the archipelago, consisting of 234 islands and individual cliffs. Four islands inhabited, about 30 thousand people live on them.

Galapagos Islands belong to Ecuador and are less than 1 thousand km from the mainland Ecuador.

Islands are known for a large variety of flora and fauna, in the XIX century the islands explored the famous English scientist Charles Darwin. Galapagos are popular with tourists who come from all over the world to look at the variety of species, inspired by the theory of Darwin’s evolution.
