Finland closed border with Russia

“The authorities of Finland closed the border with Russia for reasons of restriction of Russian tourism in the country – the decision entered into force on Friday, September 30.” This was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Pecca Haavisto, reports Yle.

According to the Minister of Internal Affairs Krista Mikkonen, Russian tourism is damaged by the international relations of Finland. Mikkonen added that if the Russians at the Finnish border are denied the entrance to Tursviz, they will still be able to apply for asylum.
