The Council of the Agency for Nuclear Regulation (NDK) of Turkey issued a permit for the commissioning of the first power unit of the Russian-Turkish NPC Akkui JSC. This is stated in the message of the company.
If there is this permission, commissioning and operational work can be started, which are the final stage of the construction of Akku NPC and form the basis of the safe operation of the station.
The next step is to obtain a license for the operation of the first power unit, which will allow the loading of nuclear fuel to the reactor and start pre -launch control operations.
“The decision of the Turkish nuclear regulation agency on the issuance of permission to commission the first unit of Akku NPP confirms that we complied with all the requirements of Turkish legislation, international standards for the construction of nuclear power plants, and are ready to move on. We go to a new, important and responsible stage in the life of the project, ”said Anastasia Zoteeva, general director of Akkui Nuclear.
First Deputy General Director of Rosatom, Director of the Bloc on Development and International Business, Kirill Komarov also emphasized that this year is very important for the project.
According to Komarov, to complete the project, you have to do a lot of work.
“The main construction work of the first power unit is currently being completed and the commissioning and operational work is in parallel. We have a long period to check the performance of all systems. All these works are performed with responsibility and clarity, in compliance with all technical regulations and requirements safety, ”he said.
